If you want something really interesting, might I suggest a Stalwart?

They are 6x6 with very large wheels and front 4 wheel steering. Its
powered by a straight 8, Rolls Royce B80 engine. There are a pair of
pump-jets that exit at the rear for propulsion in the water.
Additionally the vehicles have a drive shaft to each wheel station
from the central transferbox. Some models have built in cranes for
assisting the loading/unloading of pallets of ammo or supplies. The
crew sit in the front cab and enter/exit the vehicle through a hatch
in the top of the cab.

see http://www.stalwart.org/ for more info.
