I think the Bureaucrats have given some of us a break. If not do you know
what would become of Gama Goats and 151A2's and a few other vehicles that
were demilled as in cut in half or rendered unoperational or sold with paper
stating for off road use only.
Just because its repaired and registered for the highway by an agency not in
the loop doesn't make it legal.
You had better read the release forms and those with out a form 97...... is
it really yours? Did the seller have the right to sell it?
Do you have the right to operate it? In the fashion it is being operated in?
You should not play with fire unless you want to get burned or do not put so
much money in your vehicle that when it leaves on a trailer it will hurt so
much.
I had a beautifully restored M1026 HMMWV I found out after requesting a copy
of the form 97 that all the vehicles sold at the Atlanta auction like mine
were sold with form 97's stating for off road use only it was on my form 97
and also John Worheid (spelling) the auctioneer told me this himself.
It is now in Northern California on a ranch off road but is registered for
highway use.
Good thing this is America or someone might ask "show me your papers"
Give the Bureaucrats a break.... Haven't they given you one?
