We are getting close to harvest time around here (Northern Indiana) and all of the farmers are about to load up their semi trailers with corn and soybeans.
Virtually none of those guys have CDLs and it isn't required.

Think about that one.

The grain they are hauling is for part of their business (farming) and they are hauling it to sell it to the elevator to sell. They have been doing this since Semi's
were invented. That's why I don't worry about running my little 5 tonner around here with no CDL. I only haul stuff for my own use. I've talked to two local
cops about this and there is absolutely no problem. Kalifornia is a different situation, they have laws that reflect their far left side position. (;->)
