Yes, this is the same type of device. $150. is also a excellent price.
The one I will be prototyping will work the same way but will have a
slightly higher output. It too will be able to pull around 50 amps for
short periods. It will be a few months before we have one built and
tested. This is the only reliable way to power 12 volt devices and
maintain a balanced state of charge in the batteries.
