ok, guys...some of this is not quite true. the pyro from banks power is
self powered, but is not of the best quality (just my opinion). the pyro
from vdo has a dc amplifier inside and requires 12 volts for power. of
course the bulb.....but most of you know how to change a bulb??? the
boost gauge should read from 0 to 15 psi. the fuel setting for the ldt
pump, if set correctly in its factory setup, (a lot of them aren't, or
have been tampered with), will give boost of 5 psi at 1500 rpm and 9 psi
at 2300 rpm. this is of course at full throttle, using a hill or the
brakes to maintain speed/rpm. the fuel rate on my 'other' truck is set
up about as much as i think is wise or practical. it makes a max boost
of sometimes as much as 14 psi, and exhaust temp of 1050 f. i would
hazard a guess that it is making at least 200 hp and is not 'afraid' of
hills. these values are somewhat dependent on air temp and humidity, so
on a very hot or dry day, watch the temp until you are familiar with
results.
