H2 and Real Trucks...

I didn't want to weigh in on this, but sometimes one can't resist.

I think most of us on this list appreciate the UTILITY part of "Sport
Utility". We like trucks that do the job... or maybe any vehicle where
form follows function.

Military trucks tend to hold closely to this rule because to do otherwise
could get one killed.

When we see a design that stands that equation on it's head... something
created with "form" being the top priority, we know it. IT can even have
some neat features... the late (may God rest its soul) Pontiac AZTEC comes
to mind... (pardon my shudder).

The H2 reminds me of a Pontiac AZTEC... only worse... because it leaches
off the good name of the Hummer... which, while refined in silly ways, was
still a HMMWV underneath it all.

The H2 may be more capable off road than a Cadillac Escalade, but I think
it's an even dumber "me too" design.
