Sorry in advance List, but the below story about the Schmeisser reminded me
of a story that a German told me many years ago....
The bra was actually invented by two people almost simultaneously. The
Frenchman managed to get his patented first. His name? Henri Brassiere,
hence 'The Bra'.
The German who was slow to the patent office? Otto Titzling.
It's true!

obligatory MV content - I also thought that the MP38/40 were called
Schmeisser's.
