Frankly I can't understand why any MV owners would have a thing
against Re-enactors. They are another segment of the same hobby. Its
like MV event organizers saying "No guns, dummy or otherwise on the
vehicles or around". It just seems absurd.
Allan Cors just had his open house and he specifically invites
certain re-enactor groups to come up to his open house and act as
crew for certain vehicles and set up camps incorporating his vehicles
in the camps. The re-enacting unit I'm involved in (15th Scottish
Recce) brought 3 vehicles of our own to add to the camp theme. This
had 2 C15's sitting in close proximity to each other and another
Carrier and Dingo to what Allan had visible to the public. I was
specifically asked as a fellow dingo owner to drive Allan's freshly
restored Dingo in the review with one of the lads in my unit as an
observer for the proper effect.
We made enough of a good impression that Allan thanked us multiple
times. Allan is simply first class if you ask me.
This is the kind of close co-operation that the hobby needs.
