i don't recall you saying which wheel this was on, but i assume the
rear. it is critical that the inner seal not be damaged installing. this
is very easy to do and will leak if the center of the seal is deformed
in any way since the seal pressure against the bearing race will not be
correct. it is also very critical that the bearings have the proper pre
load. ANY looseness will cause leaking. i have had seals last for over
20k miles without leaks. be sure the seals are recent manufacture. old
seals may fail early on, and are not worth the savings.
