I also own both WW II and M series vehicles. While I do
not do re-enactments I do do "walking history" events
in which I am attired in the period uniform that goes
with the vehicle I bring..

If I run a "period" event I specify that is what it is
so people do not get the wrong message or are disappointed
that they came x miles to something different from what
they expected...

I have run into period snobs at what was posted as an
"open" event (IE) air shows ect and I don't have much
tolerance for such elitist attitudes myself...

The point here is that the "MESSAGE" needs to be clear
when it gets sent out to folks .. Specify if its an
open event or a period event so everyone gets the
same clear cut message..
