I am after some help on behalf of a friend of mine.
He is looking to scratch build a German armoured car (don't ask because I
don't know why either!). The truck in question is an Sd Kfz 231 (6 rad) -
details at http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/3620/sdkfz231.htm.
He is after a left hand drive chassis with the following wheelbase
dimensions:
Front wheel to first rear wheel: 2500mm (98 inches)
Between 2 rear wheels 900 mm (35 inches)
Overall 3400mm (133 inches)
Track between inside of front wheels 1840mm (72 inches)
Ground clearance of about 455mm (18 inches)
Ideally with a 6 cylinder engine with a power output of abiut 70hp
Does anyone know of an existing truck chassis with those approximate
dimensions at all? He is not looking at destroying a truck, just using a
chassis of a wrecked or donor vehicle (thanks in advance for any offers of
chassis locations, but he is based in the UK and it a hell of a way to
travel!!!).
