If you lose 2 volts on a 24 volt system you've lost
almost 10% of the starting power! Anything you can do
to get all of the voltage will help, especially when
it real cold out. If you can get a few more amps by
leaving the chargers hooked up that's even better, the
chargers are operating at about 28 volts, too, so that
helps with the voltage problem.

Low voltage will make the starter run hotter.
