YOU ALL ARE A BUNCH OF SICK PEOPLE

Something I have noticed of late on this list is the commenting being done
on the value of the vehicles we collect. I have to laugh because anyone
demented enough to think that the Military Vehicle collection hobby is a way
to getting rich or turning a profit is either sniffing thinner or is an
uninfected dealer who has no interest in operating or restoring vehicles and
is interested only in selling us "collectors" surplus parts and vehicles at
a very good profit.
You see if you Own, Operate and restore military vehicles the value of your
equipment is only what some other infected collector will pay and if you
have been reading closely most of us are cheap penny pinchers who when a
friend comes over we drag out some green part we paid too much for and
proceed to explain what a great deal we got leaving out the parts about how
we have no practical use for it (spare) and that the person we bought it
from was very happy to be out from under it.
Value.... you know what value is? Value is in knowing we are all the same
and all sick with the same disease and not getting any better and that the
symptoms are getting easier to live with now that we all have this support
group (mvm list) and are working on our problems together.

I love this hobby and I for one don't care if I ever get my money back.....

Also I love your trucks as much as mine I just can't say it to your face....

Dave

The Value of any honest hobby that is undertaken and enjoyed is not that
which you can put in your purse but that which brings you happiness when
your purse is empty and the day is done.
