M35 (and other) hi/lo shifing

Here's a reasonable question..

Is it correct to put the transfer in low, and begin in second gear,
then after hitting 5th, shift the transfer to high and the
transmission to 4th, and continue on? Seems fine. Works better in
traffic too.

I find that this is easier than beginning with the transfer in high,
and in the non-synchro first gear, which is sometimes harder to shift
from, especially when the rpm's are up a bit.
