Gary,
The paint number starting with a "3" is a flat paint and the number starting with a "2" is a
semi-gloss paint.
The 24087 I think of more as a army color. There is a 24052 USMC green that is a semi-gloss that I
used on my MUTT. To see the results look at;

There's a lot of thumbnails on the page so it takes a while to load.
I found that by using light coats of paint that i could control the gloss. If you use a heavy wet
coat (like you should) the gloss can get real glossy. You'll have to experiment.
BTW, to my eye.... the USMC 34052 looks more green than the 24052.
