Hi Bjorn. I am in Michigan, Where are you located?
I installed the fording kit several years ago and I have never had a
problem with water condensation. I left the truck outside one winter but it
has been inside every year since. I change the engine oil once a year
regardless of how little I use it. I have not used the truck as extensively
as it appears you do, so I may still run into those problems. I saw in one
of your photos, you have chains on your truck. What is your experience with
these?
How did you power the hydraulic pump for the crane? I hooked mine up to
the PTO on the transfer case. Good thing it was a tanker truck! The dump bed
is powered by the rear shaft of the double ended transmission PTO. It was a
little tricky to install both The levers for the dump bed and the transfer
case PTO to the left of the drivers seat. I solved this by removing the
solid shaft that is behind the seat on the floor (the one the lever turns)
and replacing it with a outer tube and an inner shaft. One lever turns the
tube, and the other lever turns the inner shaft. It looks like an original
installation.

I look forward to talking more about your experiences with your truck.

Bill
