You may have something here....

There was a stenciled note about decontamination on my old cab, that it was
decontaminated.

Hmmmmm...?

Cheer up Glen...It don't mean nuttin'.....

You're looking at WWII info, and your M715 does not match that criteria.

So it could have been the 22nd MAD (Man Portable Atomic
Demolition)Detachment with the elite 9th SF Brigade in Aus Fart, Beidenburg
Germany. You would then need those cute little RAD signs and your truck
would glow in the dark.

My M715 has under robins egg blue spray paint applied by the DRMO over
the door and bumper ID's, white US NAVY over the OD green paint. Bumpers
have both flat white and lusterless yellow numbers, letters and symbols
under the DRMO obscurations attempt. Will probably never figure out what
unit it belonged to.
But I KNOW it was used by the elite 643rd MAT Regiment... Marshmallow
Artillery,Trebuchet, Regiment assigned to protect the Cocoa Storage Dump at
Hershey, PA. The dump was never taken, so I can hold my head up when I drive
the old girl.

So be cool and pick a unit that makes you happy and enjoy the Kaisers
mechanical marvel that was years behind it's time.....
