Military Markings

I have a question about restoring military markings to dueces, 5
tonners, and matching trailers.

I have some trucks due in later this week, and when they are
repaired, cleaned up, and painted I would like to apply the
appropriate markings to the doors, bumpers, and so on.

1) Is the star on the doors supposed to be white or black, and are
there any legal issues in having either color on the doors.

2) As you face the front of the truck, which markings should go on
the bumpers ie: which side for the unit markings, and which side for
the vehicle ID markings.

3) As you face the rear of the truck, which side does which markings belong.

4) Are there any legal restrictions on restoring the service name the
truck served in? For example, can you legally put "U.S. Army" back on
the appropriate location (exactly like it was)?

5) Are the rules on markings for trailers any different than the
trucks themselves?

6) Are there any suggestions for a firm that can cut stencils quickly
and get then sent out fast (and who takes credit cards or PayPal for
payment)?

7) Any suggestions for military books, and/or manuals available
online that I could reference for the markings?

Many Thanks,

-jma
