Two thoughts here.

First, I believe the electric pump is good for getting air out and fuel up
to the other pumps. Not needed for ordinary use. I drove a truck home from
GL the other day and had no electrical stuff at all. Pull started it and
away we went. Drove it for 30 minuets. Had air and brakes and another
vehicle following for brake lights.

Second, it may be illegal to disable the air buzzer. I know the commercial
trucks I drive for "the family" will be parked by the DOT guys if they find
the air buzzer is not working. You have to have it towed or fixed before it
can roll again. This is true of a lot of things. If you are missing a lug
nut for example. The DOT guys don't play when it comes to commercial trucks
and safety.
