M1009 Markings and a part question

Is the letter markings on an M1009 2 inch or
1 inch? I have the 1990 TM that covers markings
and I believe it states 1 inch but I have seen some with
2 inch unit markings with a sand colored back round.
Has the regs been changed since 1990?

I also have a friend that is still looking for a complete
artic kit for the M1009. Anyone have a source for em'?
