Deuce brake switches....

Never stops, does it? (bad pun, sorry)

Oh well, while dealing with some other issues, the brake lights went out. So
I did some tests, verified the brake switch was toast, and toddled off to my
local NAPA to get a replacement. Installed it and all is well with the
world...or so I thought.

Looking through old posts, I see some that mention replacing the wet switch
with an air operated stop light switch, on the dry side. Much safer, with no
switch terminal blow outs occuring, leading to driver blow outs, and
potential bystander blow outs.

The conversion kit number, according to another list member, was NSN
4730-00-289-0155. Does anyone carry this, or is there a reasonable civvy
workaround. It looks pretty simple, just an elbow or tee and the correct
switch. Never hurts to ask though - someone might have 3000 of these kits
knocking around, just waiting to get rid of them.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Greg
