Hello again,

Well here is what the plate says in full:

    Federal Property-Fire use only
This unit of federal property is under control of the USDA,
Forest Service, and was aquired for fire protection services only.
It shall not be sold, traded, exchanged, or otherwised disposed
of without the expressed written approval of the washington state
department of natural resources and the USDA, Forest service.
                                     NO. F70-206

Well there is that load. Sounds pretty serious, but is this out of GSA?
Thanks for the replies, I just keep comin up with more :):). Well the reson
the department is taking the truck back to DNR is that it was a brush rig,
and most everyone was afraid to drive it. It really sucks, cause it is an
awesome off road brush rig. So, The plan is for me to take the bed, so it is
over at our house for a month or so, no one really cares about it. The
battetries are shot, so I have to jump it. I have a 12v desulfator I will
try on it. So I have a toy for a while :). A couple of questions about it
thought. The airshift, can it be engaged anytime? I love it, but I have just
been totally stopped when I have used it, because I wasn't sure. Also, how
would I tell if it is a 1c or 1d turbo? It is pretty loud, but not the
horror stories of the 1c. Are those the only 2 turbos they made for these
trucks? Also, on the turbo, I have heard that it is a good idea to let it
run for 5 minutes at an idle, then shut it down? Is this anytime, or just
when it has been run hard? I have been doing this 5 min, again, because I
was not sure. And the the last thing, When I shift from 1st to 2nd, to 3rd,
its all fine, and back from 3rd to 2nd is fine. The only thing I notice is
that from 2nd to 1st, it likes to hit reverse (I think), and make a grinding
noise (Am I just a really bad driver, or is there a trick to avoiding this?)
I have tried going from 2nd to 3rd, then 1st, it works, just takes time. I
think the shift patterns are the same on all of them, but I will put it here
just for kicks.

Thanks again guys, you all are great!
