Hello Dave
You probably saw my M-886 parked in front of that Garage in Raton, was it
on the main drag in town and was in the old 4 color camo with primer on it?
I had it in their for a tire change and a grease job,(Would have greased it
myself, but I traded some gun parts for the work). The last M-1010 that was
in town was at our local Police Dept and it was traded for New police radios
last year.
NM is slow in the MV Field, there is a MV Club down in Albuquerque, and I
know of about a dozen MVs in this part of the Country, but most are setting
doing a slow rot, as the owners want more money for them then they are
worth.( like I know a guy with a 1952 M-43 Ambulance, had not run in 30
years, body not bad, engine spun a bearing, windows all cracked or gone, and
this clown wants $5000.00 as it sits!) But its slowly starting to grow.
As for the M-42 Dusters they were issued to the Guard units here until the
mid 80s.
AS for Tao's if you moved their you would find it to be full of liberals
and hippies, and is VERY expensive to live there. Raton is the place to go.
 Mark M-886
