Freedom has a price tag and it isn't just in dollars. The idea that
government can "protect" every person from crime, terrorism, etc is BS.
IMO, the US government is dangerously close to becoming a government run by
a few people rather than the population. Just a few more laws and nothing
will be out of bounds. The patriot act was just about as unpatriotic as I
have seen. I think the founding fathers would have voted that down in a
heartbeat. I like my MV, but I like my freedom even more.

Note that the reason the IRS regs were tightened were due to bad
experiences resulting from Nixon's actions. How many times were those
rules exploited by lesser government officials before they came to the fore
front with Nixon?
