Well now you got me thinking.  Just went out and checked the '03 Nissan Crew Cab, 2H 4H AND 4L, Looked in the '77 M880 I have and its 4LOCK, 4H 4L 4LLOCK.  I know that the HMMWV use the Lock feature, as I still drive them.  But as for civy stuff I was referring to what I thought was STANDARD on most trucks......... but I have been known to be wrong ONCE a lifetime.   <grin>  Check your calendars and mark today as that day!

BTW the crew cab kicks butt in the mud, 4th day cleaning it up still......

I have never heard of High Lock in a civvy truck. In what brand and year of truck is that a feature? I have heard of High range, Low range, 4 wheel in , and 4 wheel out, and combinations of those. apb

Hi Folks,
Looking to purchase an Operator's Manual for the HMMWV.
I have every TM written for the vehicle except the Op's Manual.
Cannot figure what "HL" means on the transfer shift. The automatic
transmission shifts so smoothly that I have to listen to the engine to sense
when it shifts. A fantastic vehicle.
Thanks,
Lar
