Greetings Arthur,
I just checked a TM 55-601 (1971) "Railcar loading procedures" and the only
vehicle stacked as you suggest with wheels apparently resting on the fenders
on the vehicle below, is the M38 or M151 1/4 tonners. And they are not
actually supported by the fenders, but by a frame made from 4x4 and 2x4
lumber plus blocks and 3/4" dia rods.
The 2-1/2 ton trucks are shown double stacked only in the sense that they
are driven onto a second deck and may look like they are stacked from a
distance.

Do you have any other reference that shows the deuces stacked like the 1/4
ton vehicles?
