Hi All,
Troublesome exhaust manifolds can be fabricated from steel .
Using 3/8" or 1/2" plate for flanges and steel pipe fittings for bends .
The bits can be threaded together or welded .
If you have access to a pipe bender then even complete systems can be made
out of steel tube that will last the proverbial lifetime .
If the vehicle has a turbo them it just takes longer but is still possible .

If you don`t have any anti waxing additive and get caught out , gasoline can
be used . A mixture of upto 30% gas can be used , a slight loss of power may
be noticed but it will get you home . In the UK winter diesel is good
for -15 C {3F} .
MIX the fuel & additive well BEFORE starting the engine .

The thermo start device is wonderful for starting on a cold day , It is a
small coil that heats up , opens a valve and burns diesel fuel in the intake
heating the incoming air . It is best to feed the unit from a vented
reservoir installed in the fuel return line . They are available in both 12V
& 24V . To fit one all you need is a threaded hole in the inlet manifold
7/8" 14 UNF , a single wire to the switch , connected to the battery , NO
timer OR electronics to go wrong & when it burns out $15 to replace . MUCH
safer than burning oilsoaked rags under the engine !

       Best wishes all Noel
