The SD33 is indeed an orphan in the US. Be forewarned, parts are very
expensive. I think the best price quoted on a starter was a reman for $350. New was
$500. I got lucky and found a Scout starter on eBay for much less. Don't
bother with Napa. They listed a part number for a diesel Scout, but it is wrong, it
fits the gas motor.

There is a place in Memphis where you can get parts and manuals for the SD33:
DG Products Co. Inc.
1058 Kings Park Road
Memphis, TN 38117
1-800-237-2184

There is also an outfit in CA:

I got a lot of my info from a yahoo group that is devoted to the CJ-10. You
might get lucky there.

There are also a couple Scout diesel forums out there, the best being:

Good luck!
