more detroit locker questions

Hi,
I have another question about the lock out hubs. I drive my truck
several hundred miles each year to our clubs fall trail ride at Camp
Grayling. It is a very sandy trail area where the military practices driving
tanks & armor. But most of the trip getting there is highway driving. Have
you noticed any problems caused by the lockers while driving at speed on
paved roads. Should I expect a lot of extra tire wear.
I have also found the most difficult thing about climbing the sandy
hills is the "axle hop" as you try to go up the hill. The axle starts
jumping up and down as it gets, then loses grip. I wonder how having lockers
will effect this symptom. I really think the axle hop is rough on the truck.
Another thing I have to take into consideration is my truck weighs
18,000lb empty.

thanks,

Bill
