MV Listers,

I ran into a bit of trouble yanking out that engine, or at least trying to yesterday! I disconnected all the systems that connect to the engine, and then proceeded to remove all the bolts that connect the rear of the engine to the bell housing. (3 or 4 bolts can't be removed because the body or something else is in the way). I thought all that was left was to remove the engine mounts... But now the blasted thing won't budge! I think that I might be missing something.

SO, do I need to take the bell housing off the tranny to disassemble the clutch and all that just to remove the engine? If that's the case I might just need to pull the body off again. Or should this engine just slide right off now? Can I take a sledge hammer to it to break the block loose & pull it out? If you remember correctly the current engine's block in my jeep is already wasted from the inside, and it pretty much junk.
