I'll take one of those throw aways.

As far as the adjusting screw being tight, you have to contort under the
seat with an oil can to get to it. Mine wouldn't budge without
persuasion and a bunch of oil all over the place. Lucky for me, I
hadn't put in shag carpeting yet, so cleaning up was easy :).
