Battery Charging

One other thought on series batteries: I think using a 24 volt charger on
series batteries may cause a problem.

I seem to remember that if one battery developes a cell problem, for
example, and causes an increase current flow, then that will cause the
"good" battery to have to pass excessive current and thus sulfate/destroy
the good battery. Using two unlike batteries (manufacturer or age) might
also cause one battery to "overcharge" due to the differences.

If that be the case, it would be best to use two seperate twelve volt
charges to avoid destroying a good battery. Or, of course, use one good
charger in sequence on the batteries.

Or, do I not remember correctly?
