cleaning out an old gas tank

Hello List

I need advice / experience for cleaning out an old gas tank.

The tank is in good shape....it just has had alot of gas in it that
eventually evaporated and left
alot of old gas smell ( we all know what that smells like ) as well as alot
of orange looking crystals
all over the inside of the tank.

Any ideas / suggestions about how to go about cleaning this tank ??
