PBS has been running a 2 part (2 hour) show in the "Secrets of the Dead" series
on D-Day and the special weapons designed for the invasion.
In the show, besides lots of neat action footage including that of a 'DD'
swimming tank, there were two R/C models (about 15" long) shown: a spool tank
(to cross soft beaches) and a flail tank (to clear mine fields).
Does anyone know if these models were commercially made, or home built?
