Yes and no. Regular CRC does leave a residue. It was the bane of the
electrical industry in Oz in the early 1980s as it was used
indiscriminately and caused a lot of problems.

CRC makes specialist products also. There is an electrical version,
last time I saw it the can was coloured blue and white. Much better
to use that than the regular stuff.

Alternately, whatever the product is that replaced "Freon Cleaner"
would be worthwhile. Freon cleaner is now politically incorrect due
to its effect on the ozone layer.
