I'm pretty sure that a bed of that vintage is entirely welded together. I
just scrapped an early 80's bed and I don't recall seeing any bolts except
for the attachment carriage bolts.

But parts for the beds are pretty cheap if it is salvageable. 5 foot long
wheel well section patch panels are about $50 each from Auto Body Panels -
I picked up two today.
