may I make a suggestion and perhaps give a tip - having "been there done
that"

if you think you are likely to be exposed to amounts of tar / and / or
paint do this

wear long sleeved shirt, long pants, shower cap, -- pulled over ears --
rubber gloves (I purchase these by the box from medical supply house) then
coat exposed skin with a light coating of Vaseline -- yes I know is nasty
but is easy to wash off. And yes if you have beard coat it also.

If you get tar on clothes, work GoJo (waterless hand cleaner) into tar and
paint stains, both inside and outside , roll them up, leave rolled up until
next day then put in washing machine, for thick tar may have to be done
twice, look for tar after they are washed and before dry -- do not put in
dryer - let air dry. Then recoat any remaining tar and repeat, rolling up
and leaving until next day, in any case do not dry in dryer, let air dry
this time.

Don't ever take a 1 ton WW2 Ben Hur trailer that has tar in the bottom
and use a high pressure (3200 psi 4gpm) pressure washer to try to
remove it. It does work quite well at cutting and shredding the tar....

I am still using gasoline to remove all the specks from my body that
had suddenly become somewhat more sticky in the process...... 8-(
