Joe...been running the burned manifolds over a belt sander now for 25
years with good success. I can't tell you a name brand belt sander cause
I made this one and the last one too...but they are just a belt with a
long piece of flatiron behind it running probably 3500/5000 sfpm. The
belt is 2 to 4" wide and 72" long. You could probably run one of those
portable belt sanders across the engine block side...but you had better
stuff rags in the ports to be safe. I've also used furnace/muffler
cement in a pinch...like out on the old tractor bush hogging and have
the gasket burn out...to keep it from getting worse so I wouldn't have
to do the above. Fred Martin
