You will never be checked because the truck will never again leave the farm
or be inspected. If you want to run ruby red on the farm in equipment that
is OK. If the truck is going on the road then don't ever do it. Forget
about the tailpipe check, the big thing is most road checkpoits take a
sample of fuel and it can take up to 20 tankfulls of fuel run through the
truck to bring the dye level down to undetectable levels after 1 tank of red
dyed diesel.

Ed, heres a situation that needs an answer (in my mind)...lets say that
you bought an M-35 from someone and he ran it on a farm and used the red
dyed fuel...and they check you and find the tell-tale signs of it in
your exhaust. Could you eliminate it from your exhaust by using a brush
and scrubbing the carbon out? Just an interesting scenario. Fred Martin
