Max operating rpm under load is 3000 according to GM/DDA. 60-65 MPH max
cruising speed.

My M1010 seems to get a second wind about 65 to 70 but it sound so wound out
that I haven't pushed it much faster. Anybody know what the approximate red
line speed is with stock sized tires? I have been meaning to drag the
manuals out and look it up but can't seem to get around to it. I would
think a M1028 would do as well as the rest of the CUCV's with the exception
of the M1009.

Subject: [MV] M1028 CUCV info wanted & parts

Hello all,

I have just purchased a M1028 CUCV. In great physical shape but has had some
parts robbed off it for another one. So I will be needing some parts mainly
interior cab related items. Some under hood stuff. The sister to this truck
only had 12400 miles on it. Now my other question. What is the top speed for
the 1028? I have had a few M1008s but it has been a few years. I have had
lots of M1009s I remember them going faster??? Any input. I plan on using
this as a work truck at our office (It will be painted desert tan and still
be all GI except for stereo, AC and such).

Thanks!
