I hardly ever drive any of my deuces, and even then it's rarely on
roads. The main thing that recently got me thinking about having a nice
little Jeep or MUTT (aside from adding some more diversity to my fleet)
was having trouble parking in cramped parking lots in my Toyota Tundra
daily-driver! :-) I think a little quarter-ton would be fun for tooling
around town in fair weather. It might be less fun going 45- MPH in 70+
MPH traffic on my 40 mile freeway commute to work, though... Even my
HMMWV was always a bit of a pig on that drive, and it turned into a real
slug when I converted it to a shelter carrier (partly because of the ton
of added weight, and mainly because of the added wind resistance of the
shelter).
