Not a bad deal considering the Acquisition value was $56,500.00 and, you
know the DoD pays rock bottom prices for what it needs.... :-P ..
It had to have been crazed collectors that drove up the price.. If it was
just someone wanting a truck there are other M35 < A3 Series for much less
money, they could get a 5-ton for cheaper too. For ~$10,000 some one could
buy 3 maybe 4 M925 "Residues" and piece together one good truck. Here
http://www.army4x4.com/900_series.shtml they sell M925's priced from $6,500
- $14,500, that are complete and ready to drive. They have a have a turbo
diesel, Auto Trans, and power steering basically evrything that A3 had minus
the CTIS..
Just doesn't seem worth the $45K for a duece to me, maybe in a few years
when there are more of them availble the prices will get better.
