guys...I think I posted this before..but did not see it on the list..??
Anyway.. Think about it.. The M998 was developed as a 1 and a quarter ton
truck..to replace the 1008 and the M151A2..!!! It was not designed or was it
ever planned to be used as an armored vehicle. It sort of developed into the
roll primarily because our brave MARINES using them for this role. (Cliff)..
The HMMWV will "never" be an armored vehicle...!! If the Military wants an
armored vehicle...redesign the M114 and use it ! Not a piece of crap HMMWV.
They are a piece of crap you know.. They are not designed for any speed to
speak of.. They are not designed to last very long either...not with the
motor they have shoved into them. They should have used the V8 Isusu engine
in the Chevrolet Diesel pickup trucks...which is by far a more durable and
superor engine...
Entirely too much is being said about the HUMMER not doing the job...when in
fact --IT WAS NEVER INTENDED to perform the tasks being demanded of it now..
Got the point... If not, there is no hope for you..
