Plus it's the same deal in your M35 or other 24V vehicle when you have one
dodgy battery and a good one installed, and then you motor down the freeway
at 48mph noticing this awful acidic smell making your eyes water. If your
alternator is putting out the requisite 28V and isn't overcharging
everything, chances are pretty good that your crap battery is causing your
good battery to boil itself dry. And make your eyes water in the process.
Not fun. Plus some of the alternators out there (Leece-Neville *cough*)
don't seem to like running like that for too long before they pooch, so
there's another good reason not to run with junk batteries with dead cells
etc. even if "she usually starts great on 18 volts!"
