We are all on the same page, first ones we had both pole railing and seats,
then just pole railings. Yes, we did have problems if you had the back packs
on, usually took your back pack off to sit, and you did feel at home being
part of the cattle herd. Like Henry said use them to get back and forth to
different training exercises. I'm glad someone else also remembers them in
1965 when they were brand new and it was a new idea then too. You could
haul a whole lot of troops in some of them seems like they were about 28
foot long, and you seemed like you were a cow in there (moo-moo) !! Doug
