Back in 1956, I attended a national model airplane
contest at the Willow Grove (PA) Naval Air Station.
A truck tractor pulling a box type trailer with benches
in it was used to transport contestants to the contest
area. Too long ago to remember details other than the
truck and trailer were military. It might have been a
5-ton tractor because the front of the trailer was
quite a bit higher than the rear, so the trailer had
quite a tilt to it.
One time in the middle of the night some Navy personnel
pulled their vehicle up real close to the rear end of
our small wall tent, put high beams on and laid on the
horn! Phew, that sure did a number on us kids.
