Hi Guys.

If you have the time and a car there is quite a bit
within travel distance of Fort Worth, There is a B17
hangered at a small museum at Meechem field open to
the public. There is a fantastic aviation museum at
Addison field. Lancaster airport has a flight of the
Confederate (Sorry, Consolidated) Air Force.
South of Fort Worth is the Pate museum, but the
outside collection of MVs and Military aircraft last
time I was there was in real poor shape !

Dealer wise, you have Mark Dodd at Rapco about an hour
away, Leo Porter in Irving and Bob Bryan at 820 jeep.

Surplus stores, downtown Fort Worth has a store called
Omaha that is not bad, there is a larger old fashioned
type store in Grand Prairie that is reasonable (good
for manuals) and a number of smaller more specialized
stores, Cheaper than Dirt can be worth a visit too.

If you are here over the weekend, go to Fort Hood on
Saturday (number of superb museums) and Fort Sill in
Oklahoma on Sunday (really nice collection and if you
time it right you may get to see the Horse artillery
and cavalry guys in period uniforms practicing).

Like all things in Texas, everything is a long way
apart but its pretty easy to get around.

All the best
