Ryan,

I use them in snow, mud and off-road. Will work on ice, but there are chains
made for ice with sharp "edges" to keep from slipping. Driving on hard
pavement produces severe vibrations at least with the chains I have, so slow
speed is mandatory.
I always take mine along...

It takes less than 1/2 hour to install a set of six. Use them on all
driving wheels. Don't deflate the tires.
With chains, the deuce is almost unstoppable.
