Hey Marc,
I used fresh cooking oil, about 2 gallons for 15-20 gallons of diesel. It
was used up on short drives last summer. Didn't notice any change in
performance.

I now have about 25 gallons of "used" cooking oil from a fast food place
here in town that I'm filtering through a 5 micron filter. The filters are
available on ebay.
The small batch of biodiesel that I made is still sitting in a jar. Don't
really know what I ended up with and that fact and the cost of methanol are
my problems with bio.

Using straight cooking oil is much more attractive, but the weather must
stay warm.
I'll try with a larger percentage of oil, perhaps in a few weeks. Temp
dropped below freezing here last Saturday night...

The price/gal (about over $3.00) for cooking oil I quoted in my previous
post is for a 5-gallon jug. I'm sure it would be less say for 100 gallons
and with diesel getting close to that same price, who knows.

Wonder what commercial biodiesel producers pay for their oil.
Biodiesel sells for about $3.20/gal (tax included in NC) when I checked last
week.
