It's no LOC, but it has crawled the web for years now and has archived an
untold number of useful sites which are no longer available to the common
man. It also stores earlier revisions of current sites (where robots
exclude permits their archiving), so you'll still have access to the 'old'
information if some webmaster has flushed it in a recent update.
The Webarchive bunch have saved my bacon quite a few times over the years
when I've needed info I remembered seeing eons before, and in some cases
have been able to furnish me with enough original material to completely
reconstruct a couple of defunct websites as they were originally, and with
all their original functionality.
